The plot of the story sseet a big part of the book, but it wasn’t an overwhelming one. I love the characters, the snappy dialogue, the twists and turns of the plot development, and most of all the slightly wacky humor sprinkled through the whole book.
He ignores her valid reasons for doubting that. Everyone thought Jessie Benedict’s impending marriage to Sam Hatchard was a great arrangement — everyone, that is, but Jessie herself. And I liked Jessie, but to a lesser degree. It is amusing to see them applying pressure to get Jessie to marry Hatch for the good of the company and the fprtune and then turn around and pressure her to not marry Hatch for the same reasons. While Jessie is at her current job, working as a fortune teller’s assisstant, a woman comes in to seek help in exposing the cult that her daughter has joined as a fraud.
A poor rich girl with mush for brains, so sensitive she’s unable to keep jobs plural. She’s currently working for a psychic agency, and when her employer claims she’s in the hospital because someone pushed her down the stairs, Jessie takes over the agency and sets out to find a young woman who has joined an environmental cult.
He was more than just a chip off the old workaholic’s block — he was positively lusting after Jessie’s inheritance to build his own business empire! I know it isn’t easy for some among you to accept this situation, but who the hell cares? The book about the environment. Any Condition Any Condition. Jun 23, Ddkmc95 rated it it was amazing. I am enjoying rereading the jayne Ann krentz books. Znn things begin to turn dangerous when the people surrounding Jessie’s investigation become threatened.
Refresh and try again. After reading a few thousand romance books alone in the last five years I have frankly become jaded; also bored with this genre. MSweet Fortune I laughed a lot and I loved this book krenz lot, it was a great read and I enjoyed every minute I spent on this book.

A Novel by John GrishamHardcover It kinda confirms what I’d heard – that Krentz is one of those authors who steadily writes a little less romance, and a little more suspense each krent.
What I like d about these books is first, that they are light and not angst-ridden.
